México.

I got back from our family’s vacation a couple of weeks ago, and have been meaning to ramble about it for a while here. We went to Cozumel for a week of diving and other topside adventures, which was exciting. It was quite an experience. Read the rest of this entry »

On “Butchness.”

Two relatively recent events surrounding the concept of “butch” identity have induced a bit of reflection for me. This is a bit long and rambly, folks. You’ve been warned. Read the rest of this entry »

“It’s a Girl!”

Today, I spent several hours at a local Nature Preserve and pool. Admittance is limited, since space in the park near the pool is extremely limited. Our group got there shortly after the park opened, paid our way in, and parked. We all geared up and made the quarter-mile steep-grade trek down to the pool. Read the rest of this entry »

Mature v. Old: Differentiate. Discuss.

I had a better narrative written here, but have decided not to post that. I find it too revealing; not necessarily of myself, but of others. She also refuses to compromise her beliefs to do simple data-entry and phone-banking tasks, which makes her particularly onerous to The Party. Please treat her with the utmost disdain, as she obviously knows nothing and likes to showcase it with her thinly-veiled positivism. If she had any political sense at all, she’d be a Democrat, and if she had any computer sense at all, she’d have already built us that flux capacitor we’re hankering for. Niemöllerism.

I’m listening to them right now. Some woman is talking about zoning and property rights and where to put drug rehabilitation centers. The kids are idiotic, displaying the same NIMBY position that the Democrats groom them to spot and disdain so much in their Republican opponents. Read the rest of this entry »
