It’s funny, isn’t it? In that sort of gut-wrenching irony that makes me hate the world, this is funny. America has perverted Memorial Day into a gluttonous consumeristic capitalist “holiday”. We are bombarded with advertisements that insinuate that the way to be a patriotic American citizen is to BUY BUY BUY, of course at deeply discounted rates and on fantastic financing terms!
